I just approved your request, so please share with me any details you have about the redesign.
As for the main page, I would strongly recommend using column tags so that the content wraps around the ad that appears at the upper right corner. Currently, everything is getting pushed down by the ad (screenshot).
Regarding the design, we would be looking to remove the "Welcome the AntWar.io Wiki" box with info found on the home page, and replace it for an ant-stylish design. Also, we would be looking to have a background composed of dirt with ants. Something similar to the following .
A visual wikia that contains things that we would like would be this one . We would be interesting in having a quick links section with buttons that links to articles such as Ant Development, Ants, Predators, and Prey and with their respective images, for example, ant development could have a larva image, ants could have an ant image, probably soldier ant, predators a spider, and prey a goliath beetle.
A section with links to things such as the discord , reddit , and trello would also be appreciated, as it would link users to developers and places where they can see future updates. Also, we would like text saying something like "we currently have (x) articles with (x) edits!" The navboxes and templates can be redesigned as well, since their rectangular polygon shape does not really go well with the ant theme of the wikia.
Feel free to make modifications as you please. We are open to anything, the above is just ideas that we have. :)
Thank you for your time! Let me know if I need to provide images, etc. :D
The main page <tags/> have been added, however, for me, the ads show on top, not on the side. Therefore, I haven't been able to verify if the problem has been resolved.
You only inserted the left-column tag and only had the welcome box inside the tag, which is why everything other than the welcome box was getting pushed down. I added the right-column tag and moved the AntWar.io - Player - Strategy section to the right column. Now everything properly wraps around the ad.
I also just uploaded a background image and a new navigation header image. To get the large image, I went to the AntWar.io site and made all of the page's content "hidden" using my browser's inspect tool, so that the only thing visible was the backgorund with ants crawling. Then I took a screenshot and used it.
Did you want to use a custom font for the main page like Starve.io does? If so, let me know which one. If you don't want to use the same font as them, feel free to browse Google Fonts. When you find one you like, just tell me the name of the font, and I'll import it.
I created Template:MainPageBox which uses Template:MainPageHeading. Take a look at User:JoePlay/test to see the three boxes I made so far. Let me know if the colors are good or if you want to change them. The images in the Quick Links section are just placeholders. Once the colors are finalized, I'll create a custom image for each link.
The Google Font I found that most closely matches Microsoft Sans Serif is Arimo, which I imported to the wiki and used in the boxes.
Also, I see no reason for each team color getting a page. Just create a page called Teams, and have it list the colors and say that they can all have a max of 4 players and can be locked by the first person to join that team.
Thanks for bringing that up! However, since there's a poll that allows users to vote for the next update, we may wait until the next couple of updates before merging the team articles together, because there may be this remote possibility that team colors could have unique features. For now, the current team articles will be expanded on to make them more useful. However, thank you for the suggestion! :D
Alright! That's a good idea! Thanks for taking that in mind. Indeed, the controls for antwar.io can be very different from mope.io, as this involves clicking a lot. In contrast, mope.io doesn't involve much clicking, as it's focused more on keyboard.
I see some controls on the Command Menu page. Probably make a page titled "Controls" (Also, I'd not use the "For the Player" page and instead use a Category Page "Category:Player", since you can add any article to any category.)
Hello! Thanks for asking! Indeed, Template:CA has been based of from the NavBox template at the MooMoo.io Wiki. It's nice to have the link to the original template, so, thanks for sharing. :D Regarding the template found on this wiki, the colors will be modified to dark brown variations, depending on the type of "mobs".
